Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMILTON "MICKEY" McCUMBER February 1, 1920 - January 14, 2001 Peacefully on Sunday, January 14 at 80 years. Dad will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by wife Jennie of 62 years; daughter Marsha and her special friend Rita; sisters-in-law, Agnes and Joan and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Mickey was predeceased by his parents, Milton (Mike) and Katherine; son Vernon in 1962; infant sons, Terry and Ricky; sisters, Minnie and Kathleen; brothers, Harold, Martin, (Mugs), Bert (Shorty), and Guy. Mickey was born and raised in Selkirk. He married Jennie on January 15, 1938. He worked at Abex until his retirement. Mickey was a generous, strong-willed man with a great sense of humour. He kept everyone on their toes. He loved to work with his hands whether it was building things or puttering in his garden. He kept his humour till the end. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 18 at 2:30 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with a viewing to be held one half hour prior to service. Interment to follow in the St. Clements Cemetery. Special thanks to staff at Selkirk General Hospital and a very special thank you to Margaret and all the home care workers, and nurse Karen.
